How SciTech: +1 works:
Unlike our summer programme, SciTech:+1 lets children attend for one, two or three days, giving them a taster of what SciTech has to offer.
Children are grouped by age:
Minis: 5–7
Juniors: 7–10
Seniors: 10–14
Each day, groups takes part in one of three themes: Animation, Food or Time.
The Details:
Our SciTech +1 events are designed to give children who are new to SciTech a fun introduction to what our holiday clubs are all about, perfect for first-timers or for those who just can’t wait until our main SciTech event in the summer.
We run two SciTech +1 events each year: one in North Manchester and one in South Manchester. Both events feature the same exciting activity days, allowing us to reach a wider audience across Greater Manchester.
Ages:
Our holiday clubs are open to children aged 5 to 14 years.
If your child is close to these age limits, please contact us, we may still be able to accommodate them.
We’re also proud to support the development of older children by offering opportunities to help assist at our science and technology themed events. Many of our young team members have found this to be a valuable addition to their CVs, with some going on to careers in fields such as forensic science, Formula 1, and even working on the world’s largest particle collider at CERN. To support the launch of our new North Manchester event, we’re offering a limited 20% introductory discount:

Extended care is available at £5 per session:
Morning: 8:30am – 10:00am
Afternoon: 4:30pm – 6:00pm

Why SciTech Costs More
SciTech events are priced higher than a typical holiday club due to our higher staff-to-child ratios, which allow us to run safe, exciting hands-on science and technology activities. Costs also reflect the specialist materials and equipment used, as well as the extensive planning and administration involved, with each event taking at least a year to prepare.
